Acquired Loss of Third Molar

I had an impacted 3rd molar tooth on the lower right jaw. This condition leads to another problem which is the formation of the 'operculum', which later cause 'pericoronitis'.

Operculum is a 'flap-like' coverage formed by our gums which it partially covered our tooth. While pericoronitis is the inflammation of the gums surrounding the teeth.

So, with this impacted 3rd molar, I had all of these signs and these are the indication for Minor Oral Surgery.

Minor Oral Surgery was done yesterday at 11am at Klinik Pakar Pergigian Pusat Pengajian Sains Pergigian. The surgery did not went so well in middle of the procedure, because I was nearly faint. My eye vision went black and my Blood Pressure drops lower than 80/40 mmHg (which is not good; normal = 120/80mmHg).

After that scenario, Dr decided to postpone my surgery to another time. Before they sent me off, they stabilised my condition first. After I was fine, suddenly Dr wanted to continue the surgery again and I said "Okay".

After that, everything went well and my 3rd molar was successfully pulled-out. Dr stitched back the incisional wound he made and I went back with painkiller prescription.

Bacteremia VS Septicemia

What are the differences between these two condition; Bacteremia and Septicemia, ?
Both condition happen in the blood circulation and caused by microorganisms.

So, BACTEREMIA is a condition when there is a presence of bacteria in the blood. As simple as that. In the web, they give an example of tooth brushing. What happen during brushing is our gum sometimes got bleed and because in our mouth we normally have certain bacteria, the bacteria goes into the blood, so this condition is bacteremia. But why nothing happen to our body even after the bacteria goes into our blood? Now here comes the role of our immune system. This system attack the bacteria.

Now, what is SEPTICEMIA? It is a condition when the bacteria goes into the blood circulation & DIVIDE & MULTIPLY themselves in the blood. This type of bacteria is normally 'invasive & virulence'. In the web, they give an example of serious illness, but never mention what is the disease.

That's just it.
